Privacy Policy

The KiteBanners privacy policy covers what we collect through our site and our forms, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to make a request.

Effective date: January 1st, 2026. Last updated: August 1st, 2026

KiteBanners (“KiteBanners,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at https://kitebanners.com and provides aerial out of home advertising services in coastal markets in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

This policy covers https://kitebanners.com and any subdomain we control. It does not cover third party websites that we link to, including LinkedIn and any external tools referenced on our pages.

Questions about this policy can go to info@kitebanners.com.

Information you give us directly

We collect information when you choose to give it to us. That happens in a few places:

When you download the info deck, we collect your name, business email address, and any company name or job title you enter.

When you book a call or submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company, the market you are interested in, and anything you type into a message field.

When you email us or reply to one of our emails, we keep the contents of that correspondence and the address it came from.

When you become an advertiser, we collect billing contact details, the name and title of the person signing the agreement, campaign parameters, and the creative files you send us for adaptation.

We do not ask for and do not want government identification numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or any other sensitive category of personal information. Please do not send them through our forms.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our servers and analytics tools record technical information about the visit. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, referring page, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the date and time of your visit. IP address can be used to estimate the city or region you are in. It does not tell us your street address.

Cookies and similar technologies collect some of this. Our Cookie Policy explains which cookies we use and how to control them.

Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from the scheduling tool used to book calls, from our email delivery platform (whether a message was opened or a link clicked), from advertising platforms in aggregate report form, from publicly available business sources such as a company website or LinkedIn profile, and from a colleague or partner who refers you to us.

How we use your information

We use what we collect to send you the info deck you requested, respond to inquiries, schedule and hold intro calls, prepare proposals and insertion orders, run and report on campaigns, issue invoices and collect payment, send marketing emails about markets and availability, understand how people use the site so we can improve it, measure the performance of our own advertising, protect the site against fraud and abuse, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

Legal bases for processing

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases. Consent, where you have opted in to marketing or to non essential cookies. Performance of a contract, where we are delivering a campaign you have purchased or taking steps at your request before entering an agreement. Legitimate interests, where we are operating and securing the website, responding to a business inquiry, or promoting our services to business contacts in a way that does not override your rights. Legal obligation, where record keeping or tax law requires it.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Doing so does not affect processing that already happened.

Marketing email

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@kitebanners.com and ask to be removed. We will still send transactional messages that relate to an active campaign, an invoice, or a legal notice.

Text messages

If you provide a mobile number and agree to be contacted by text, we may send you scheduling and campaign related messages. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing anything from us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them and HELP for assistance.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text message consent with any third party for that third party’s own marketing purposes. Numbers are shared only with the messaging platform we use to deliver the messages on our behalf.

Who we share information with

Service providers. Companies that perform functions for us and are contractually limited to using the information for that purpose. These include website hosting, email delivery, customer relationship management, call scheduling, web analytics, advertising platforms, payment processing, accounting, and legal or professional advisors.

Campaign operations. When we run an activation, limited information may go to flight crews, banner printers, and permitting authorities. Usually this is the brand and the creative, not your personal contact details, unless a permit application requires a named contact.

Legal and safety. We will disclose information where we believe in good faith it is required by law, a subpoena, or a court order, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of another party.

Business transfer. If KiteBanners is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction. Any acquirer remains bound by this policy for information collected before the transfer unless you are notified otherwise.

At your direction. Where you ask us to share something with a partner, agency, or vendor of yours.

Sale and sharing of personal information

We do not sell personal information for money.

Advertising and analytics tools on our site, such as advertising pixels, may transfer identifiers to platforms in a way that certain state privacy laws classify as a “sale” or as “sharing for cross context behavioral advertising.” You can opt out of this through our cookie consent banner, by disabling advertising cookies in your browser, or by enabling Global Privacy Control. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.

How long we keep information

Inquiries and info deck downloads that do not become clients are kept for 24 months from your last interaction with us, then deleted or anonymized.

Client and campaign records, including invoices and signed agreements, are kept for 7 years to meet tax and record keeping requirements.

Web server logs are kept for approximately 12 months.

Marketing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.

Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections to the site, access controls, and vendor selection standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it, the right to request deletion, the right to request correction, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories: identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, and IP address; commercial information such as inquiry and campaign history; internet or network activity such as pages viewed and referral source; approximate geolocation derived from IP address; professional or employment information such as company and job title; and inferences drawn from that information about market interest.

We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined in the statute, so there is nothing to limit under the right to limit use.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom

You have the right to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict processing, to receive your data in a portable format, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Other United States privacy laws

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with active consumer privacy laws have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt out of targeted advertising. We extend the process below to all of them.

How to make a request

Email info@kitebanners.com with the subject line Privacy Request and tell us what you want us to do. We will ask for enough information to confirm that you are the person the record belongs to. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by another 45 days where the request is complex, in which case we will tell you before the first period runs out.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.

Children

The site is directed to businesses and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, email info@kitebanners.com and we will delete it.

International visitors

KiteBanners operates in the United States, and our service providers store information on servers located in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws differ from those in your country. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses with vendors that process data covered by European or United Kingdom law.

Links to other sites

Our site links to LinkedIn and to third party AI assistant tools. Once you leave kitebanners.com, this policy no longer applies. Read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the Last updated date at the top. If the change is material, we will post a notice on the site or email you where we have your address and it is appropriate to do so.
